In this episode we offer something a little different. It’s the recording of a conversation with some of our Partners, those who are financially supporting our podcast efforts. However, the conversation includes a number of things that we thought our listeners might appreciate, including story of Workshop and Peacemeal, the precursors to Jesus-shalom, some open conversation about how we approach faith questions (like the person of Jesus), and the wider work of Anvil, including the development of a Shalom Short Course, now called “Shalom Quest”, as a way to create space for open and learning conversations around key Jesus-centred, world-embracing shalom themes.

We begin (1:00-31:00) with thanks to partners, the reasons we gather with them on Zoom, and then the background/history of Workshop and Peacemeal, the precursors to esus-shalom.

After the break, we then (33:00-52:00)  have some open conversation about how we, at Jesus-shalom, engage the centre of our faith, the person of Jesus. This includes some comments on the kind of open and exploratory ethos we are trying to create, an ethos that invites listening and learning, curiosity and questioning, rather than offering definitive answers.

Near the end (53:00- ) of the second half we offer some comments on our websites and a “shalom short course” we had begun working on, now known as “Shalom Quest.”
